Developing the skills and values essential for living as fulfilled and productive citizens in Canadian society.
Serving Belleville Since 1986

Continuing On In Education (C.O.ED) is a fully supported, community based day program that offers a person-centered approach to adults with developmental and/or physical challenges. We provide assistance to individuals with personal goal setting; providing resources and opportunities to work towards the achievement of these goals. We provide mentoring and facilitation in the areas of literacy, numeracy, living skills, healthy-active living, basic computer skills and communication. We strive to provide each individual with the opportunity to acquire transferable skills while developing lasting, meaningful relationships.

The purpose of our program is to provide activities and educational opportunities that will increase our participants levels of self-sufficiency, self-direction and self-discipline. Our goal is to empower individuals to overcome barriers while reducing the risk of isolation for the participant, and also the caregiver. We encourage individuals to be valued and contributing members within their local community, and society.

Continuing On In Education is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Board of Directors includes representation from community agency personnel, parents/caregivers of students, other educational staff, private citizens, business and professional individuals. Directors meet monthly to monitor financial, admittance, and operational functions.
